A mammoth measuring 2,5 meters tall and 5 meters long built from wood, cardboard and paper was to be transported from my studio in Bergen to the remote ski-resort Finse in the Norwegian mountains.
In order to complete the transportation I had to convince a lot of people outside of the art-world to help me in order to get the mammoth to the mountain. The ski-hotel Finse 1222 decided to sponsor the project and the mammoth was transported by crane, truck and train.
At the mountain the mammoth was exhibited as a sculpture.
The mammoth´s journey was documented and broadcasted by Norwegian televison company NRK.
